Restorative Yoga practice is a Yoga of ‘Being’ rather than a Yoga of ‘Doing’ – restful yoga for stressful times.
Restorative Yoga is the perfect antidote to the stress that many of us experience as we try and juggle all the parts of our modern busy lives. When stress become chronic it can impact our health in many ways, and can lead to poor digestion, muscle tension, insomnia, back pain and immune dysfunction.
Left unchecked chronic stress can wreak havoc on our health and plays a part in a host of medical complaints – relaxation is powerful medicine and is simple to do!
All poses are from the floor, and are completely supported with bolsters, and blankets – soothing our muscles and allowing complete relaxation of the fascia. We gently move our spine in various directions – back bend, forward bend, inversion, twist and a neutral relaxation pose.
This is a lovely practice after some gentle bodywork to complete a session.
